tending
to
the middle of things
flood, wave
swell, crest
a gradual
flow
takes them
out
old rowboat
oars up-turned
seems at rest
on the lake
horizon
but its motion
slow and sure
continues
untethered
from shores
boats set adrift
wander
onto world oceans
boundless
