poem - "Stalin Kitchenette"

Stalin Kitchenette

Rocky Creek whitewaters a thin-vista Stalin Kitchenette

Freight trains crack the parlor with world-rattling locomotion

The sleeps-five-bedroom reverberates international fly lanes and jet fuel exhaust

& bathroom icicles arc with power station electricity

A sixteen-lane expressway cloverleaf flabbergasts the lemon roof

An art cult clogs museum gourmet subsistence wage food

enabling graffiti gangs to wring juice money from dying workers

In bus dimness clusters, tiny eyelids receive a sunlit image

Gangsters transport and exchange prisoners in metro drainage canals

roughly distribute you-made-animal-by-drugs that can disappear us

to scud earth in silent scorches of subway torches

Five million years of bitter wind bursts villainous flowers

Dolls above desert blooms of fury detonate a good morning

Natural chain reactions of giant no-ones and radio fossils

in long slivers of light swizzle into tornadic super wind

As it gives you your Napoleonic answer

you lower your veil and look upon life’s lightness
